My Underweight Grandson Needs To Build Muscle |

My middle step-grandchild Rick really needs to build muscle and bulk up because he is about seven pounds underweight for his age and height. We try to ensure that he eats a nutritious well balanced diet with plenty of iron and protein and he is a very active child. I think that he is just naturally thin and wiry. Of course Rick is too young to lift weights in order to build muscle because he has not yet gone through puberty. I think before he can seriously attempt to build muscle he will have to get a little older. Then he can do some resistance work and take certain supplements if necessary. For instance if he is still wiry and slightly underweight when he reaches adulthood he might want to use Creatine to bulk up. Then again he might not even want to build muscle. Many men who are naturally skinny choose to simply accept it rather than try to alter their natural body shape. Still, it is good to know that young Rick will have options later on if he does decide he wants to build muscle.
