Pomegranate Juice Concentrate, 24oz
While the sane, “Everything is OK not in excess” applies to many things, in the case of weekly vitamins minerals intake, I don’t think there is anyone out there who couldn’t benefit from adding some more to their daily diet. Personally, my own diet goes up and down between healthy, semi healthy and down right bad. I am a complete supporter of fried food, melted cheese and treats. While they taste great going down, they don’t always look so great when the pudge starts packing onto the belly. Past gaining weight from fattier foods, there aren’t many vitamins minerals or antioxidants in them.
In this time of year, having a strong immune system is paramount. Two of my roommates have already come down with what I am calling the flu. Neither wanted to go to the doctor so there isn’t an official title on their seasonal cold but it is something I want to steer clear of. Getting sick obviously sucks but the idea of not being able to work and go out on Halloween does not sound appealing to me.
That being said I have been looking high and low online for immune boosting nutritional supplements rich in vitamins minerals and antioxidants. One of my friends has an extremely healthy mom. She works out daily, calculates the nutrients in all her meals and is always up to try the latest vitamins minerals craze. What I have been hearing is staying full on antioxidants is one of the best ways to create a bullet proof immune system. I noticed a bottle of pure pomegranate juice like the Pomegranate Juice Concentrate, 24oz pictured above in that friend’s fridge and asked what it was all about. He gave me a shot of it and even though it was one of the tartest things I have ever tasted the vitamins minerals and especially antioxidant content was second to none.
I found the 24 oz Pomegranate Juice Concentrate within the pages of Fit Electronic at http://www.fitelectronic.com/ for 20.88 dollars. That may seem like a lot but consider these vitamins minerals stats (from product description):
Only 1-2 tablespoons a day are necessary to capture pomegranate’s health benefits. Pomegranate juice contains a wide range of polyphenolic compounds, including ellagic and gallic acid, anthocyanins and tannins, especially punicalagin. Punicalagin is a powerful antioxidant, protecting cardiovascular function and accurate cellular replication.*
Clinical and experimental studies show that Pomegranate juice:
• Decreases Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation.* • Enhances cellular (macrophage) glutathione.* • Helps maintain regular platelet activity.* • Reduces activity of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) and supports normal vascular contraction.* • Promotes normal cell function and replication.* |
