So, you may be asking what the heck is qigong? Good question! First of all it is pronounced "chee gung." It is a gentle practice of moving, breathing and meditation. The practice of qigong calms you and makes you feel at peace and totally at ease with yourself, plus it will build muscle. The moves that build muscle are slow and deliberate. By holding the stances for a substantial length of time the muscles are brought to life.   

Qigong works with life energy to improve health and a sense of well-being. The movements, breathing and meditating is known to cleanse, circulate and strengthen the life energy in the body to restore optimal health. Classes open with exercises designed to cleanse the body of toxins. Next, movements are close to gather up a reservoir of energy so it can be circulated to stagnant or diseased parts of the body. Balance exercises will build muscle and core strength.

My practice of qigong has given me increased energy, better sleep, improved self-awareness, better concentration and posture. I have lost weight and improved my blood pressure. I have no complaints!
